The song was R&B hit, peaking to no. 13 on the Hot R&B Singles chart.[1] Imagination was originally recorded by Glenn Miller in 1940, his version peaked to no. 3 on Billboard's Best Seller chart. Tommy Dorsey also recorded the song, as his version peaked to number 8 on the Best Seller chart.
